Business Analyst, Customer Success

Job Description

GridX is a growing start-up that is building advanced cloud-based Big Data analytics and billing solutions that enable utilities to provide better energy choices and help transition to a clean energy future.

As a Business Analyst on the Customer Success team, you will:

  • Be the interface between client and internal technical teams, translating their needs into requirements and product enhancements
  • Coordinate between various internal teams, proactively communicating with internal teams and customers (both written and verbal)
  • Act as an advisor for the customer to help solve business and technical problems
  • Be an advocate for customer experience and building a world-class product
  • Work with large and complex data sets to troubleshoot issues and derive insights

The role is broad-based and requires a self-starter with a strong desire to learn and collaborate with colleagues in a diverse, fast-moving startup environment. Must enjoy learning and building a rapidly evolving software product.

 

Required Qualifications:

  • BS or BA degree
  • Do-whatever-it-takes attitude and commitment and a deep desire to learn
  • Experience in the energy industry, utility billing or a demonstrated interest in the energy industry
  • Quick study with a track record of learning
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel including macros, functions, and pivot tables
  • An understanding of relational database concepts and familiar with SQL
  • Ability to create a story from data using standard tools such as R, Python, Tableau
  • Excellent written and verbal communications

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MS degree
  • 4+ years of experience with relational database or 2+ years Python Experience
  • 2+ years of experience in the utility meter-to-cash process (e.g., meter data management, utility tariff modeling, customer billing, usage and rate analytics)
